![]() Online Focus Groups: It is unfortunate Online Focus Groups are called “focus groups” because they are really something else entirely. Unlike traditional focus groups, there is no face-to-face interaction. Participants can’t experience physical products by touching, smelling, or tasting. Some have said they are closer to telephonic focus groups. We think it is a completely different technique with its own advantages and disadvantages. They are not a replacement for traditional focus groups. We will never suggest an online technique when our clients would be better served using traditional methods.
